Despite global financial crisis Best Western’s fourth Phuket property to open on September 2009

The global economic crunch has not affected the plan of Best Western, one of the world’s largest hotel chains, to open the Best Western Sawazdi Patong Hotel in Phuket, Thailand in September 2009.

The Best Western Sawazdi Patong Hotel is the fourth luxurious hotel built by the company in Phuket, one of the world-class destinations in Asia. Situated near the Jungceylon mall on Patong beach, the Sino-Portuguese styled property boost itself of 146 rooms, and a full range of amenities for both business and leisure travellers.

Glenn de Souza, BWI Vice President International Operations – Asia explained they decided to put up their fourth hotel in Phuket since the island is known worldwide for its natural beauty and vibrancy.

Souza added the strong support for tourism by the government and the low-cost international carriers and chartered flights extending their networks are other top reasons why they decided to continue building property in the island.
