Celebrity adventurer buys posh property in Phuket

IN THE wake of the global economic crisis, Thailand remains to be a favorite place for residence and recreational purposes among top celebrities of the world.

The latest celebrity who bought a property in one of the top cities in Asia is adventurer and TV personality, Bear Grylls.

Bear who has a huge fan following in the US for his survival program ´Man vs. Wild´ which is now the No. 1 Discovery program worldwide has recently bought a Club Penthouse at Kata Rocks on Phuket Island, Thailand.

Aside from the US, Bear is also widely popular in United Kingdom and the rest of the world for his program ‘Born Survivor’.

The 34-year-old and former member of the SAS (UK special forces) became popular the world over since he is prepared to eat on these programs as he demonstrates the various survival techniques.

The celebrity adventurer already had the mark of excellence even at an early age when at the age of 23, he became the youngest Briton to climb the mountain and survive.

Bear had also already gone on to take a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) from America across the Arctic to Britain, taken a jet ski around the UK, and currently hold the world record for the highest dinner party held below a balloon at 25,000 feet.

The famous personality also holds the distinction of powering a paraglider higher than anyone powers and has also written several books and is an accomplished motivational speaker.

When asked on his reasons why he buys such a luxurious property in the area, Bear simply said he wanted a paradise and a discreet yet spectacular place, which is why he decided to purchase the property.
