THE POLITICAL crisis and the global financial mess have not totally slowed down the real estate industry in Thailand.

On May 23-24, the Sansiri will be formally launching two low-rise residential projects worth Bt2.8 billion combined, focusing on the middle- to upper-income market.

Senior marketing manager Samatcha Promsiri identified the projects as Saransiri Prachauthid-Suksawad, which is worth nearly Bt1.7 billion, and Town Plus Prachauthid, worth almost Bt1.1 billion.

Promsiro revealed the two ambitious projects already had presales of 25 per cent.

Based on the records released by Sansiri, Saransiri Prachauthid-Suksawad is a detached-housing project comprising 340 homes on 74 rai, with a starting price of Bt3.99 million per unit.

Town Plus Prachauthid is an integrated project comprising townhouses, double houses and shop houses, with a combined 499 units at prices between Bt1.99 million and Bt8 million.

Samatcha said Sansiri already launched seven residential projects together worth Bt6.8 billion.

He said the company decided to push through with the project since they believe the new projects will help drive sales to meet the target of Bt20 billion this year, after recording presales of Bt6.5 billion in the first quarter.
