The Thailand branch of world-class architectural firm Woods Bagot has decided to go solo by breaking away from its Australian partner to launch a 100-percent Thai-owned operation under the new name, The Beaumont Partnership.
The bold decision is considered as the mark of a new era in the company´s local architecture and design business.
In making the decision, the firm´s CEO Tim Beaumont explained after 17 years it was now appropriate for the company to become 100% Thai-owned to meet growing demand in Thailand and overseas.
Beaumont said he believe the cutting edge design using the latest technology for architecture, interior design and landscaping will bring the company to new heights as they continue their business alone.
He revealed what they change is only the name of the company since their business, values and staff will continue to employ the very best architecture and design methods and innovative technology to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients.
The CEO said importantly, we also believe this new company will be better aligned to meet the cultural sensitivities in Asia when working and providing a service in this part of the world.
Furthermore, Beaumont said when undergoing this change they also made one of their key goals and deliverables of the process to keep all of the 90 staff in our Bangkok office and is proud to say they have been able to achieve this goal.
Meanwhile, former Commerce Minister of Thailand and chief adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister on Economic Affair, Dr. Narongchai Akrsanee, said he supported the change and the prospects this presented for a local organisation in bringing benefits to the Thai economy.
Narongchai said the move is a fine example of a Thai company leveraging Thailand´s strengths in the key creative disciplines of design which he hope would entice international companies to employ local architecture firms and also call on their expertise for international projects as well.
